she’s totally wrong on that. it doesn’t matter what the solar cell is made of for shading. it matters how you connect the panels. amorphous won’t do better than crystalline just because it’s amorphous.
if thin film solar is still less efficient, they should be put on solar thermal water based heat exchanger panels, to use that large percentage of energy not converted!
