For all those who would reply to my comment that has the highest rating with a response along the lines of saying that the panels and purchase info. are readily available, please note that my comment and this video are 3 years old. At that time the panels were not on sale, which is why the manufacturers did not give info. as to where to buy them. I’m glad that now you finally can actually purchase the product.

@MstrKey from my understanding,this system is grid tied so it back feeds the power into the grid. there are no batteries with this system as long as it is grid tied.

There is to date NO long term practical solar power for homes that’s cheaper than what we have now. All the studies I’ve seen have shown it will take 20-30 years for a system like this to pay itself off assuming it never degrades, which they all do. FAIL.

Actually 1 KW / string shown with 2 strings on that particular roof.

If you wanting to install these products, you better hope

1; your roof is not painted, because these ‘stickers’ or ones like it are voided of their warranty if used on painted roof

and 2 that you dont want to be producing even half of what you want, 5 years down the line. The degradation with these thin film strips is ungodly!

what is your IV …
what is your IV curve look like with the thin film being mounted directly to the roof? seems that the heat build up would result in lower output…
if there is a heat issue, then your 1kw output per string would be alot lower… so your 2kw would be more like 1.4kw… Do you have a NABCEP certification? This is one of the first things you learn. heat= lower output. & with no ventalaton, your creating heat on that dark film.
